Have you ever wanted to resize a VM partition and then shrink the VMDK in VMware? Have you seen how difficult that is! I’ve saved you the hassle and created a VMDK Shrink Manager application that makes it easy. Step #1 – input the FQDN name of your virtual machine you want to resize on. Click “Get VM Disk Data”. This will tell you the current disk partition(s) sizes, and the minimum/maximum sizes they can be. Step #2 – Select the partition from the list that you want to resize. Enter the New Partition Size in MB, then click “Start Partition Resize”. Step #3 – Now click “Shrink VMDK File” to shrink down that big VMDK to the new reduced size! *Always remember YOU are 100% responsible for the use of this or any application posted on here, so it blows up on you don’t come to me!
